I am working with a Junior Doctor from Boxhill hospital to develop a Federated learning platform to be used by pharma companies. We have build an MVP and are waiting for hospital approval before completing our initial testing. Federated learning allows AI models to be trained on multiple datasets, such as those held by hospitals, without the data leaving its source, ensuring privacy and regulatory compliance while producing accurate, robust AI models. The creation of AI models in pharmaceuticals is limited by the need for large datasets of real patient data. Currently, only about 30% of patient data generated by hospitals is utilized for research and care. Our solution leverages the untapped 70% of healthcare data using a machine learning method called federated learning.
